Kloster Seeon provides a variety of interactive applications and forms. If no separate data protection declaration has been issued, the explanatory notes outlined here will apply. We explicitly draw your attention to the fact that as a general rule the transmission of data via the Internet is not secure, so that unauthorised persons can take note of or falsify the data transmitted, unless encryption facilities have been used.
Electronic post (eMail)
We draw your attention to the fact that the transmission of data via the Internet is not secure and that unauthorised persons can therefore take note of and also falsify the data transmitted. Like many eMail providers – we use filters to suppress undesired advertising (“SPAM filters”), which in rare cases can by mistake also automatically classify normal eMails as undesired advertising and delete them. Any eMails containing harmful programs (“viruses”) are in any case automatically deleted by us. As a consequence, legally secure communication via simple eMail is not guaranteed. We therefore advise you not to use eMails to transmit confidential information to Kloster Seeon. To date, we have not used any electronic encryption or signature systems, which means that encrypted and/or signed eMails cannot be further processed by us. For documents, for which the written form ought to suffice (as a rule, this means that a signature is required), please switch to paper-based communication.
Data protection at Kloster Seeon
The employees of Kloster Seeon Monastery are bound to secrecy and to compliance with the relevant statutory provisions of data protection law.
